This is the second compilation of the fairly new Swedish record label Peter Out Records, and it continues where the first one let go. It's still a tour de force in contemporary dark alternative underground music, and the biggest difference must be that this is a vinyl record instead of a CD.
The compilation has a bit of everything. You'll get the brilliant deathrock of Cemetery and Metro Cult, syntheziser-driven post-punk from MOTH and Veil of Light, and synth pop from Sally Dige and Cosmetics. A lot of these somewhat genre-specific compilations makes the mistake of showcasing a bunch of bands sounding a bit to similar to eachother, but the label have really excelled at creating a good variety of different styles and sounds, making sure it never gets boring. This is a great release for fans of these genres as some of the songs are exclusive to this compilation and it really comes highly recommended.
