Totentanz is a concert and night club located in Copenhagen, Denmark. We organize concerts within the gothic subculture, and specialize in genres such as goth rock, deathrock, cold wave, dark punk, minimal wave, synth pop, old school industrial and whatever we might find interesting and fitting.
We usually put on three bands per night and a guest DJ spinning records at our night club. We take a pride in presenting the best contemporary music, showing that this music is just as relevant today as it was in the past, and that the modern bands have just as much to offer as the old heroes. We of course make sure to play plenty of classics by Bauhaus, Rubella Ballet and all the others.
We work within the DIY ethics and don't intend to make money of our work. This would also be impossible as the scene in the Öresund region is quite small. We stay happy as long as we don't lose any money on our concerts. This also means that you can't expect to make much money on playing Totentanz. We hope bands will understand.
Totentanz is currently made up by Christoffer Bagge, Johan Schultz, Mathias Lodahl and Paw Bosack.
