Vide is a mini album showcasing 6 songs of the Vancouver-based duo Koban. You get a bit of everything on this release; male and female vocals, noisy guitars, dark synth, heavy bass and a drum machine. None the less I feel that they could do well if they experimented a bit with their sound, so the songs would show a bigger variety in sound. Don't get me wrong, their sound is great but it lacks a bit of variation. The songs are build up around a heavy rhythm section and a somber synth, and on top of it you'll find a noisy guitar and vocals ranging from angry and punk to dark and chanting. The songs has all got a good energi and that especially goes for D´tacher et déguiser, which must be the best track of the release.
